LBJ East (I-635) Design Build reconstruction is one of the most significant roadways in the DFW area. The LBJ East Project is a $1.74 billion design-build roadway construction project by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to improve mobility, operations, and safety along Interstate I-635 in Dallas County. The project spans 11 miles, beginning just east of US-75 in North Dallas to I-30 in Mesquite. Construction began in the Spring of 2020 and will last through 2025. The SE3 scope of work includes the design and layout of dozens of retaining wall sections throughout the project.
