SE3 was a subconsultant to AECOM on the High Mast Illumination design of a 5-mile stretch in San Marcos, TX.  SE3 was the primary designer of the system including the preparation of the PS&E, and performed the following tasks:

  • Used AGI32 software for photometric calculations to determine the ideal lighting design
  • Removal of the existing continuous lighting system
  • Met with a power company in the field to identify existing power lines and transformers and determine ideal electrical service locations
  • Thirty-four high mast poles (150’) were used, with a mixture of type A and type B asymmetric fixtures based on the curvature of the roadway
  • Completed FAA obstruction evaluation forms to ensure no conflict with the nearby regional airport
