SE3 is a subconsultant to HDR Engineering for the preparation of contract plans, specifications, special provisions, construction schedule, and cost estimates for the proposed roadway reconstruction and improvements on the Central Tri-State from 95th Street to LaGrange Road. 

The contract includes five construction packages including the reconstruction of Archer Avenue and Archer Bridges over I-294, Advance Noise and Retaining Walls, Mainline Contracts for 95th St to Plaza 39, Plaza 36 to Plaza 39, and Plaza 36 to LaGrange Road.

SE3 was responsible for the following scope of work:

  • Civil design support in preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Traffic Management Plan including traffic analysis and detour routes
  • Barrier Warrant Analyses, QA Review
  • Field reconnaissance, as required
  • Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings and conference calls
  • Erosion and Sediment control plans
  • Drainage plans, drainage calculations, drainage specifications, and cost estimates for the Archer Avenue Ramps and Bridges
  • Assist with review comments during final plan preparation
