SE3 was a subconsultant to WSP USA on the Southern Gateway Design-Build in Dallas, TX. The project included the complete reconstruction and widening of I-35E from Colorado Blvd to the I-35E/US-67 Split and US-67 from I-35E to I-20. This comprised Segment 1 and Segment 2A of the environmentally approved project. The project ultimately included five general-purpose lanes and two reversible, non-tolled express lanes with frontage roads on I-35E.

Segment 2A of US-67 included three general-purpose lanes and one reversible, non-tolled lane with frontage roads. SE3’s role on the project included the central lane design of a two-mile section of US-67 included main lane ramp profiles, alignments, and cross sections. Additionally, SE3 completed the design of several retaining walls, assisted with the overall MOT Plans, and designed six traffic signals along the corridor for the City of Dallas.
