James Cherney, P.E.

James Cherney is the Office Manager for the Kansas City office. He has over 25 years of experience managing design projects and producing construction documents for municipal improvements, site development, infrastructure design, and relocations. His duties include project management, technical design, and business development for the Kansas City office. His project experience includes site development, telecom, storm, transportation, utility, and general civil engineering projects.

Jim is a former president of the Kansas City Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He also served eight years in an engineering battalion in the United States Army Reserves. He is active in the Missouri section of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), participating in the Transportation and Environmental committees. He regularly attends the Transportation Engineers Association of Missouri (TEAM). He graduated from the University of Iowa.
