Ryan Doerrer, P.E., S.E.

Ryan Doerrer is SE3’s Structural Lead, overseeing our structural work at all of SE3’s offices nationwide. With almost 20 years of experience, he has provided structural planning, design, and maintenance services for private, local, state, and federally funded projects that range from feasibility studies to structure rehabilitation to complete structure replacement, with project sizes that ranged from a single-cell box culvert to a 28-span bridge crossing the Mississippi River. Ryan holds a Structural Engineering license in Illinois and a Professional Engineering license in Illinois, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas. Additionally, Ryan is an NBIS-certified team leader and program manager for bridge inspections and has completed FHWA training for element-level inspections.
Ryan is an active member of the IDOT ACEC bridge committee, where he helped organize the annual two-day conference and the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois. He has provided structural engineering design for several design-build projects in Texas, with a net project value of over 1 billion dollars. Ryan graduated from Bradley University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and in 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
