SE3 has joined several firms as a sub-consultant to Kansas City's Smart Sewer Program. The Smart Sewer Program is a 25-year, $5 billion plan to help the city alleviate sewer overflow. SE3 has provided a variety of services from the initial testing phase to the design and construction phase of the project.

Project tasks include:

  • Pre-Project community engagement meetings with residents and business owners
  • Performed over 750,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer and storm drain smoke testing
  • Performed over 500 dye water tests to determine combined or separated sewer connectivity
  • Completed over 20,000 private residential home plumbing evaluations
  • CCTV sewer investigations
  • Flow Monitoring and data analysis and assessment reports
  • Combined and separated sewer system data assessment and characterization
  • Public and private sewer repair cost analysis and recommendations
  • GIS database and mapping of sewer deficiencies
  • Public sewer separation design
  • Quality Control/ Quality Assurance Reviews for final design documents
  • Residential Professional Representative for construction management
